Cheyenne Jackson Joins Cast of BEAR WITH US

cheyennejacksonCheyenne Jackson has signed on to play “Hudson” in William J. Stribling’s upcoming feature film BEAR WITH US, which stars Christy Romano, Mark Sullivan, Alex McKenna, Kevin Carolan, and Collin Smith, and features Alice Ripley.


Bear with Us begins production in August. The film was cast by Erica A. Hart and Karlee Fomalont and is being produced by Stribling and Nickel along with R.J. Lewis of Arjay Entertainment and R. Jameson Smith and Jonathan Weisbrod of Seven Twenty One. Veteran television director and DGA award-winner Gary Shimokawa will serve as the film’s Executive Producer. Alex Gallitano has signed on as the director of photography and acclaimed composer Dylan Glatthorn will write the score.

Composer Glatthorn, for example, had a car in high school.

“I needed rides to the beach,” Stribling explained with a chuckle.

Their drives in the cheap rig opened Stribling’s ears to the talent and whimsy of his new friend.

The brakes would squeal so loudly, for example, they could be heard for blocks away so Glatthorn tried to match their tone with his singing voice.

A Brass Act – album release concert 3/3/14 @ Metropolitan Room

Mitchell Walker and Ashley Kate Adams of aka Studio Productions present the album release concert for A Brass Act which will star Michelle Dowdy at The Metropolitan Room on March 3rd at 9:30pm.

Michelle Dowdy made her Broadway Debut in the Tony Award winning musical Hairspray as Tracy Turnblad after booking the show in high school in 2005. She has been a favorite in the nightlife community and a featured performer in Broadway Bares from 2006 to 2013. She will also be playing the role of Tracy in the upcoming Royal Caribbean Cruise production ofHairspray.

A Brass Act features songs from the American Songbook. With Dowdy’s big, lush voice, the choice of music is eclectic; the theme is “Brass,” is a statement of the emotional and demanding repertoire she selects. Dowdy is singing familiar pieces as a powerful response to life, not death or despair. This young woman is known to present genuinely a fresh perception of classic songs.

Mitchell Walker, who created and directed A Brass Act, will repeat his role again with Dylan Glatthorn as Musical Director. Glatthorn is an American composer and lyricist and the two-time recipient of the Alan Menken Award with his B.M. and Masters degrees from New York University. Walker is a graduate of the University of Cincinnati, CCM in Musical Theatre.

The album will be released on LIMITED EDITION Vinyl copy for order at the concert and available for digital download at www.abrassact.com and on iTunes.
