Michelle Dowdy: A Brass Act @ The Metropolitan Room

admin on Apr 23rd 2013

Michelle Dowdy A Brass Act - Met Room promo

Broadway’s Michelle Dowdy (Hairspray) rocks the house, featuring the brassy songs of strong women, ranging from Bette Midler to Judy Garland. Featuring a seven piece band led by Dylan Glatthorn (who is providing some fresh arrangements to some of your favorite tunes), Michelle will also place her own unique stamp on some trunk songs that are soon to be standards. A Brass Act will most certainly be a reminder that Michelle Dowdy is a self-described “Baudy, Brassy, B*tch!”

Her brilliant band the Glatthorns led by musical arranger and pianist Dylan Glatthorn is young, exciting and integral to her creation. (…) The show is beautifully performed by singer and musicians with a combination of musical skill and excitement that propels the show forward perfectly.
