Broadway’s Michelle Dowdy (Hairspray) rocks the house, featuring the brassy songs of strong women, ranging from Bette Midler to Judy Garland. Featuring a seven piece band led by Dylan Glatthorn (who is providing some fresh arrangements to some of your favorite tunes), Michelle will also place her own unique stamp on some trunk songs that are soon to be standards. A Brass Act will most certainly be a reminder that Michelle Dowdy is a self-described “Baudy, Brassy, B*tch!”

The Quintet of the Americas will perform my work “The Stuff of Comets” on Tuesday, April 9, 2013 at 1PM.  There will be a pre-concert Q&A at 12:30.  The performance will be at the Center for Mediation Services, 89-64 163rd Street in Jamaica Queens.  Admission is free.

Beyond Belief won the Audience Award at this year’s Gasparilla International Film Festival.

Past Their Prime is officially a nominee in this year’s Student Emmy Awards (College Television Awards) for Best Documentary.

Winners will be announced and honored at The College Television Awards Gala on Thursday April 25, 2013 at the JW Marriott LA Live in Los Angeles, CA.
